Angiology is the area of internal medicine which deals with vascular disease. This encompasses diseases of the arteries, veins and lymph vessels.Haemostaseology is a special interdisciplinary area dealing with coagulation disorders. Depending on the type of clotting disorder, a tendency either to arterial or venous thrombosis, or a tendency to haemorrhage can exist.
The focal point of our daily work is the diagnosis and treatment of
- Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD)
- acral arterial circulatory disorders
- primary and secondary vasculitis
- functional perfusion disorders and micro-circulation disorders
- venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism
- thrombophilia clotting disorders (including antiphospholipid syndrome, protein C-, protein-S-, antithrombin deficiency)
- heparin-induced thrombocytopenia
- arteriovenous malformation
- lymph vessel disease
